Scouts and Guides is a voluntary movement that is an integral part of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS). It is followed in all KVs and helps students develop confidence, self-esteem, and life skills.
Here are some benefits of Scouts and Guides:
- 1. All-round development: Students learn about the world beyond the classroom and develop physically, intellectually, spiritually, and socially.
- 2.Universal brotherhood: Students develop a sense of compassion, benevolence, and universal brotherhood.
- 3.Life skills: Students learn important life skills, such as team building and outdoor adventure.
- 4.Motto:The motto of Scouts and Guides is “Be Prepared”.
Students from classes III–X are encouraged to participate in Scouts and Guides,they can participate in various activities, including:
- 1.RajyaPuraskar and RashtrapatiPuraskar camps
- 2.Rallies and Utsav for students in classes III–V (Cubs and Bulbul)
- 3.National Service Scheme for senior secondary students.
